Healthcare for Generation X and Generation Y Women

Who are you? You’re young women who have grown past your wild teenage years, are likely sexually active, possibly pregnant or with children, and facing issues associated with the continual changes in your body.

You’re concerned about the whole spectrum of issues facing women – pregnancy, STD’s, breast or cervical cancer, osteoporosis if you are no longer having a menstrual cycle, weight gain or loss, and perhaps even problems with sexual intercourse.

This is a time when we’ll be screening you for breast or cervical cancer. We’ll show you how to do your monthly breast self-examination, and after the age of 40 start you on a regular mammogram screening schedule.

Concerns facing Gen X Women and Gen Y Women

You’re at that age when both physical and psychological issues can arise. Some women call us about sexual concerns, for example. They might be having pain during or after intercourse. Or, they may be experiencing a low libido – no or little desire for sex.  For some women, a small amount of urinary incontinence is also occurring.

In addition to the normal issues facing pregnant women (incontinence, nausea, etc), you might have concerns about your body and birth defect prevention before you get pregnant. We’ll talk with you about the plusses and minuses of various birth control methods, as well as what to expect when you do become pregnant.
