About Midwifery
“Dr.” Dee is a Certified Midwife. But what does this mean to you?
Midwifery has been around for about as long as women have been having babies. It is usually used to describe the practice of assisting a woman through childbirth.
Midwives are experts in women’s health care, especially prenatal care to expectant mothers. Unlike a general practitioner or other doctor who might have either generalized knowledge, or who might specialize in surgery, a midwife are specialists in normal pregnancy and natural childbirth.
We strive to help you with every aspect of your pregnancy. Dr. Auther Adams, our Obstetrician is on hand to help with any specific illnesses or irregularities you might experience.
What this means to you is that you’ll have the best of both worlds – the expertise of the obstetrician for medical complications or concerns, and the day-to-day nurturing care of a midwife to help you through your pregnancy easily and as pain-free as possible.
